About

RIGCNTRL is an independent project by Felix Ziessow.

LUMIX camera control and monitoring from stu25, for Android phones and CineView M7.

The camera settings, on your monitor

RIGCNTRL brings supported camera settings, recording shortcuts and monitoring tools onto the screen attached to your rig. The aim is a practical control workflow: check the image, choose a setting and see the camera’s response.

CINE and HFR shortcuts use formats offered by the connected camera. P1–P4 profiles save supported camera settings on the USB route. Monitoring assists such as waveform, false color and peaking analyze the received preview. Focus controls use the connected camera’s supported functions.

Current beta and release plans

The invited beta combines supported camera settings, recording shortcuts and monitoring tools over the live image. Feedback from real setups is helping refine the interface and camera support.

Our planned launch lineup is LUMIX S1II, LUMIX S1IIE, LUMIX S1RII, LUMIX S5II, LUMIX S5IIX, LUMIX S9 and LUMIX GH7. The S5II USB workflow is the documented beta reference. Each camera, firmware, device and connection needs its own testing; a planned model is not a completed compatibility test. USB is recommended, with Wi-Fi also part of the release plan.

Two editions

The smartphone edition is planned for Google Play. The dedicated CineView M7 edition runs directly on the Accsoon monitor and is a separate purchase. One M7 license covers one device and includes lifetime M7 updates. Activate online once, then use the activated license offline without a time limit or scheduled online checks.

An iPhone edition is targeted for Q1 2027 through the App Store, after the Android launch. Timing and final support remain subject to development and testing.

Coverage and the journal

CineD reported on the project as RigCtrl on 14 October 2026 in its article about community-built camera-control apps for CineView M7. Read the original report.

The RIGCNTRL Journal is being prepared to cover LUMIX workflows, relevant camera updates and the app’s development. Articles link to original sources and distinguish our testing from manufacturer information. Each draft requires human review before publication.
